Getting Screwed by Weber Racing Engines, out of Ohio
Mark Shaner also took a motor that was built by Weber Racing engines and fixed it. The motor would not hold oil pressure and Weber tried to claim it was a bad oil pump. Turned out to be that Weber built the motor way to tight and gapped the rings incorrectly, stripped out bolts on the oil pump, even installed the wrong bearings for the cam. The Main bearings after 75miles already had bad grooves in them and had to be replaced. The brand new crank had to be turned to get the scratches out of it. I ended up with a total engine rebuild at 75miles and Weber refused to do anything about it. But Mark Shaner stepped up and built the motor with total professionalism even provided me with a blue print of the entire build, which Weber refused to do.
